The Benazir Income Support Program has released its annual report, highlighting the performance of key initiatives. It details the progress on projects such as the 8171, National Socio-Economic Registry, Benazir Taleemi Wazaif and Benazir Nashonuma Program. On this occasion, Secretary Benazir Income Support Program Aamir Ali reiterated the commitment to transparency and providing more financial assistance to deserving families.

According to the report, financial assistance has been increased to Rs 13500 per quarter for 9 million deserving families across the country. The success of the program has also been appreciated by global development partners such as the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, UNICEF, International Labor Organization and other UN agencies. These initiatives are proving to be helpful in further strengthening the social welfare system in Pakistan.
