Nighaban Ramadan Package Cash Assistance Reaching Millions of Families
Salma Butt, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Punjab for Price Control, has announced that for the first time in Punjab’s history, Rs 30 billion is being distributed in cash under the Nighaban Ramadan Package 2025. This initiative has benefited over 18 million people, ensuring financial support reaches the deserving families.
She shared that Rs 23.5 billion has already been distributed, and to facilitate payments, 18,000 agents have been deployed across Punjab. To ensure transparency, FIRs have been registered against 237 agents for unauthorized deductions, and 64 cash points have been sealed.
During her visit to Sahulat Model Bazaar, University Road, Sargodha, she revealed that pay orders of deceased beneficiaries have been transferred to their widows. Additionally, the DVS system has been introduced to help elderly beneficiaries who cannot complete biometric verification, and those with expired CNICs are being paid through a pool system.

Eligible families can check whether they qualify for the Nighaban Ramadan Package by using the following methods:
- Via 9999 Code – Simply send your CNIC number via SMS to 9999 to check if you are eligible for the Rs 10,000 cash assistance.
- Through 8070 SMS Service – Some beneficiaries can also check their status by sending their CNIC to 8070 to receive eligibility confirmation.
- Visit the Nearest BISP or Bank of Punjab Branch – If you are not receiving updates via SMS, visit the nearest Bank of Punjab or BISP office for assistance.
How to Receive Nighaban Ramadan Package Rs 10,000 Pay Order?

Additionally, a new pricing mechanism for meat is being developed, and a strict crackdown against sugar hoarders is in progress to control inflation. During her visit, Salma Butt personally inspected the prices and quality of food items and interacted with citizens.
